About the hotel
The Gore is two beautifully restored Victorian townhouses and has been an hotel for over 100 years. All the rooms are individually furnished with period antiques and fine artwork.
Situated in Kensington, just behind the Royal Albert Hall and opposite Hyde Park, The Gore is the ideal base from which to explore London. The Natural History, Victoria & Albert and Science Museums, Harrods, Knightsbridge & Kensington Palace are all a short walk away.
A great deal of time & effort has been invested to maintain a Victorian splendour that leaves you with the impression that the same family has lived here for years - since the 1870's to be precise. The bustling ground floor Bistrot & 190 Bar are ever popular with musicians (both pop & classical), actors and authors, as well as the local Kensington Set.
